This USGS data release represents field surveyed elevation points and source lidar points used to develop an objective method for estimating boundary roughness from publicly available elevation data. Also included is the Python script written to execute a routine to convert a 1 meter digital elevation model into a 1 meter boundary roughness raster. This data set has two separate items: 1. The Supplemental Information used to validate the bare earth surface within a forested floodplain. 2. The Python script and associated ArcGIS toolbox

Abstract The isotopic composition of Pb in fugitive dust suspended by a vehicle from 13 unsurfaced roads in Missouri was measured to identify the source of Pb within an established long-term mining area. A three end member model using 207Pb/206Pb and concentration as tracers resulted in fugitive dust samples plotting in the mixing field of well characterized heterogeneous end members. End members selected for this investigation include the 207Pb/206Pb for 1) a Pb-mixture representing mine tailings, 2) aerosol Pb impacted soils within close proximity to the Buick secondary recycling smelter, and 3) an average of soils, rock cores and drill cuttings representing the background characteristics. Aqua regia total concentrations...
These data provide spatial information about USGS 3D Elevation Program (3DEP) Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) and Data Collaboration Announcement (DCA) lidar data acquisition projects from Fiscal Year (FY) 2015 to present, including the FY, state, project name, project size, award recipient, lidar quality level (QL), contracting mechanism, and project description.

This is release 1.0 of the Selective Drainage Toolbox. These tools are designed to be accessed using ArcGIS Desktop software (versions 9.3.1 to 10.4.1). The toolbox is composed of a collection of custom tools that implement geographic information system (GIS) techniques that can be used to identify and enforce drainage hydro features in digital elevation models- with a specific applicability to high- resolution elevation models derived from light detection and ranging (lidar) data.
The National Geospatial Program manages The National Map and National Atlas Geospatial public-domain data products, map products, and services. The National Map and National Atlas benefits geospatial information users throughout the Nation and are essential to the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI). The NGP community in ScienceBase is being set up to support exploration of a new product metadata aggregation needs across multiple product lines. Links to these products and services are at: http://nationalmap.gov The National Map - map products such as the US Topo and Historical USGS Topograhpic maps, base data and geospatial web services http://nationalatlas.gov National Atlas - maps of America for everyone's...
ScienceBase brings together the best information it can find about USGS researchers and offices to show connections to publications, projects, and data. We are still working to improve this process and information is by no means complete. If you don't see everything you know is associated with you, a colleague, or your office, please be patient while we work to connect the dots. Feel free to contact sciencebase@usgs.gov.
