Real-time kinematic survey of the Lower Pearl River bathymetry collected in 2014 and 2015 using: •Leica Smartnet Network •GS 14 Rover •CS 15 Controller •Seafloor single beam echo sounder & transducer Acquisition Strategy: zig zag coverage - not more than ½ channel width between successive bank passes. Duration: surveyed in fall 2014 and 2015. Dates of acquisition are included for 2015 collected data but were not consistently recorded for 2014 collected data. All 2014 data were collected between Sep - Dec 2014. Ping rate: 2014: every sec 2015: every 5 ft of movement Spatial data includes bottom elevation in meters and an NHD area file that has been revised to more accurately reflect the channel configuration....

Waterbodies that exhibit persistent water and lack trees within the majority of its area are defined as open waterbodies by the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD, USGS, 2011). The data presented here were created to determine the volume of water for open waterbodies on the floodplain of the Atchafalaya River Basin. Open waterbodies and their surficial geometry were identified using a geographic information system (GIS) shapefile acquired from the NHD. The spatial coverage was clipped to areas within the Atchafalaya Basin Floodway System area of interest. Bed elevations of a representative set of channels were determined from bathymetric surveys conducted 2014-2017 during high river stages by the U.S. Geological...
