Confluence Retirement

Due to the feedback from stakeholders and our commitment to not adversely impact USGS science activities that Confluence supports, we are extending the migration deadline to January 2023.

In an effort to consolidate USGS hosted Wikis, myUSGS’ Confluence service is targeted for retirement. The official USGS Wiki and collaboration space is now SharePoint. Please migrate existing spaces and content to the SharePoint platform and remove it from Confluence at your earliest convenience. The WRRI (Water Resources Research Institutes) Version of the Integrated Proposal and Evaluation Tracking Tool (IPETT) is designed by USGS to support the organization, reviewing and collection of deliverables for the scientific community. Our focus is to provide flexible workflows that facilitate the grant collection, review and approval process.


Integrated Proposal and Evaluation Tracking Tool (IPETT)

  • Plans, facilitates, and conducts research to aid in the resolutions of mission area agendas
  • Promotes technology transfer and the dissemination and application of research results
  • Provides for the training of scientists and engineers through their participation in research
  • Provides for competitive grants to be awarded under through the grants.gov process


The WRRI (Water Resources Research Institutes) Version has 4 different configurations: Annual Base Grant, National Competitive Grant, Student, and Coordination Grant. There are 4 roles associated with WRRI: Institute, Reviewer, Manager, and Admin.
