Confluence Retirement

In an effort to consolidate USGS hosted Wikis, myUSGS’ Confluence service is scheduled for retirement on January 27th, 2023. The official USGS Wiki and collaboration space is now SharePoint. Please migrate existing spaces and content to the SharePoint platform and remove it from Confluence at your earliest convenience. If you need any additional information or have any concerns about this change, please contact myusgs@usgs.gov. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

The Request for Proposal (RFP) application involves multiple steps which allow managers/directors to create and customize a master template for a funding opportunity. This tool is configurable by the manager or director to collect documents needed for the solicitation. RFPManager is flexible and supports an SOI submission period and a proposal submission period or the manager can configure the tool to skip the SOI submission period and only require that full proposals be submitted.

The RFP Lifecycle typically consists of the Statement of Intent (SOI) submission period which allows applicants the opportunity to express their interest in funding. Once the SOI submission period has ended directors then invite reviewers to review and rank the submissions to determine which ones they will invite to submit full proposals. In the proposal submission period, applicants are invited to submit the required documents for the solicitation. After the proposal submission period ends, directors then invite reviewers to review and rank the proposals. Finally, directors gather the reviews, evaluate them and decide which proposal submissions to fund.

RFPManger User Help is divided by 3 user types:

Applicants - Who will use the application for the purpose of gathering information and documents for SOI or proposal submission. (Applicant User Help)

Reviewers - Who will use the application to review submissions and provide feedback (Reviewers User Help)

Managers/Directors - Who will use the application to create and customize a master proposal template and manage the life cycle of the event. (Managers User Help).
