Please submit session topic ideas for the 2021 CDI Workshop! Session ideas do not need to be fully finalized - the purpose of these submissions is for community members to view, comment, and suggest ways for these sessions to be the most productive and useful to the community. Sessions are 1.5 hours and are open format to what suits your goal - you can have short presentations, panel discussions, working sessions or brainstorming sessions. We encourage a mix of formats for an engaging session. We will be providing some resources to session facilitators to help plan for an engaging virtual session. Session proposers are responsible for finding speakers, but you can ask the CDI facilitators for help (reach us at cdi@usgs.gov). 

The 2021 CDI Workshop Program Committee will meet in early March to review the submissions, do any merging or splitting, and in collaboration with the session proposers, come up with a meeting agenda.  

Early submission and discussion will help us! So please get these ideas in before March 1, 2021, and if possible, before February 16, 2021. 

Instructions

  1. Please login and create a "New Topic" to submit your session idea(s) or to comment on a session.
  2. Important: save your description text on the first page. If you run into an error when clicking "next", try entering just a text snippet like "text" into the description box and advancing to the second page before pasting in your full description. We are working on fixing this issue.
  3. On the second page of the template, you will be able to specify the title of your session idea as the title of the page. 
  4. Email cdi@usgs.gov if you have any questions.
