Confluence Retirement

Due to the feedback from stakeholders and our commitment to not adversely impact USGS science activities that Confluence supports, we are extending the migration deadline to January 2023.

In an effort to consolidate USGS hosted Wikis, myUSGS’ Confluence service is targeted for retirement. The official USGS Wiki and collaboration space is now SharePoint. Please migrate existing spaces and content to the SharePoint platform and remove it from Confluence at your earliest convenience. If you need any additional information or have any concerns about this change, please contact Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Manatee eDNA data

Margaret Hunter et. al.

  • cytochrome-b quantitative PCR and state-of-the-art droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) eDNA assay
  • three extant and vulnerable manatee species
  • Occurrence (ψ) and detection (p) probabilities were estimated
  • eDNA occupancy estimates were higher than those generated using aerial survey data on the west coast of Florida

eDNA data from aquatic habitats in Oregon and Nevada

Mullins and others 2018

  • metabarcoding

  • The data sets contains hierarchical taxonomic identification information for DNA sequences detected in water samples from 5 locations.

Microbiology of Greater Bravo Dome

Shelton and others, 2018

  • assess the impacts of high CO2 concentrations on microbes in the subsurface
  • samples were filtered for biomass, extracted, amplified, and 16S rRNA gene sequencing was performed on the Illumina MiSeq platform.

Pacific Lamprey and Lampetra spp eDNA across 18 Puget Sound watersheds, 2014 and 2015

Ostberg and others, 2018

  • quantitative PCR

eDNA sockeye salmon spawning

Hoy and others, 2018

  • qPCR
  • (eDNA) concentrations and spawning adult abundances for sockeye salmon (Oncorhynchus nerka) in Hansen Creek, a small tributary in the Wood River watershed, southeast Alaska, USA
