Confluence Retirement

In an effort to consolidate USGS hosted Wikis, myUSGS’ Confluence service is scheduled for retirement on January 27th, 2023. The official USGS Wiki and collaboration space is now SharePoint. Please migrate existing spaces and content to the SharePoint platform and remove it from Confluence at your earliest convenience. If you need any additional information or have any concerns about this change, please contact myusgs@usgs.gov. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

JC Nelson joins us at the June 2018 CDI Monthly meeting to ask for help gathering examples of data sharing agreements between USGS and its partners.

Data Sharing Help

USGS has been working on updating data sharing language since 2014.

Understanding the needs of the science centers is key to making data sharing updates

We need your user stories to help explain the need and get updates to appropriate documents.

Tell us your data sharing story

CDI has created a google form to capture your USGS user stories

  • Briefly explain the situations when you have needed to sign a data sharing agreement with another agency.

  • Briefly explain a situation(s) when you have needed a data sharing agreement for USGS data.

  • What is the most important question or statement that you would like to see included in a USGS data sharing agreement?

This form is open to Dept of Interior users only:
