Confluence Retirement

Due to the feedback from stakeholders and our commitment to not adversely impact USGS science activities that Confluence supports, we are extending the migration deadline to January 2023.

In an effort to consolidate USGS hosted Wikis, myUSGS’ Confluence service is targeted for retirement. The official USGS Wiki and collaboration space is now SharePoint. Please migrate existing spaces and content to the SharePoint platform and remove it from Confluence at your earliest convenience. If you need any additional information or have any concerns about this change, please contact myusgs@usgs.gov. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Project status is a concept used by the projectStatus attribute in the Project and BASIS+ extensions. It describes the basic status of a project that can correspond to a temporal concept or not. It has the following possible values:

  • Active
    • The project is currently being executed.
  • Approved
    • The project's proposal has been accepted but is not yet active.
  • Completed
    • The project has been completed and is no longer active.
  • In Progress
    • The project is currently in progress.
  • Proposed
    • The project is planned but not yet started.

The list of project statuses is stored in the ScienceBase Vocabulary. You can view an always up to date list of these statuses here.
