Confluence Retirement

Due to the feedback from stakeholders and our commitment to not adversely impact USGS science activities that Confluence supports, we are extending the migration deadline to January 2023.

In an effort to consolidate USGS hosted Wikis, myUSGS’ Confluence service is targeted for retirement. The official USGS Wiki and collaboration space is now SharePoint. Please migrate existing spaces and content to the SharePoint platform and remove it from Confluence at your earliest convenience. If you need any additional information or have any concerns about this change, please contact myusgs@usgs.gov. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Clearing Entries
  • Use the "x" to clear your filter and picklist data entry values

  • Lists can usually be sorted (ascending/descending) by clicking on column headings

  • Clicking the 'magnifying glass' next to a field will usually open up a separate search window on top of the page to help the user select the value
  • In the case of 'Site', this new window will be populated with the sites already in use by your project and allow you to add more

  • Underlined text in blue takes the user to a particular area of the system or displays more extensive help information; mouse over will display a little more information
  • Underlined text in purple provides access to context sensitive help or executes the listed function. If the context sensitive help will be displayed a question mark (question) will appear on mouse over; otherwise, test explaining where you will be going will be displayed

  • Section headings with either an up or down arrow next to them can be either hidden or displayed as needed
