Confluence Retirement

In an effort to consolidate USGS hosted Wikis, myUSGS’ Confluence service is scheduled for retirement on January 27th, 2023. The official USGS Wiki and collaboration space is now SharePoint. Please migrate existing spaces and content to the SharePoint platform and remove it from Confluence at your earliest convenience.   • Make any changes you need to make, or if you need to delete a section click on the red "Delete" buttons. 

  • Finally, click on the blue "Save Changes" button in the top tool bar or at the bottom of the page. 

  • If you need to cancel the edit and go back to the project list page, click on the blue "Cancel Edit" button in the top tool bar. 

Adding a


File to a Project Page

You can add any type of file to your project page, such as a .doc, .xls, jpeg, pdf, etc. through DEPTH. 

To add a non-shapefile to your project page, 

To add a shapefile to a project page you must have an unzipped shapefile of your project area. 


  • After you click on "Add File" you will see a page that looks like this, then double click on "Attach File(s)"
  • Navigate to where you saved your unzipped shapefile and then highlight and click "open" for to attach all of your files. 

  • The files will be added to your project as shown below.

  • There is no need to save. When you return to your project page (by clicking on the title of your project) you will see your
