Confluence Retirement

Due to the feedback from stakeholders and our commitment to not adversely impact USGS science activities that Confluence supports, we are extending the migration deadline to January 2023.

In an effort to consolidate USGS hosted Wikis, myUSGS’ Confluence service is targeted for retirement. The official USGS Wiki and collaboration space is now SharePoint. Please migrate existing spaces and content to the SharePoint platform and remove it from Confluence at your earliest convenience. If you need any additional information or have any concerns about this change, please contact myusgs@usgs.gov. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

The CDI has provided funding support for many products and activities. Through the annual CDI proposal process, funds have been awarded for projects focusing on data integration for interdisciplinary research, innovative data management, and potentially cutting edge technology. The CDI supports CDI supports new and ongoing projects that promote data integration and.

In addition, the CDI Guiding Principles summarize the characteristics that the community is looking for:

    • Focus on targeted efforts that yield near-term benefits to Earth and biological science
    • Leverage existing capabilities and data
    • Implement and demonstrate innovative solutions (e.g. methodologies, tools, or integration concepts) that could be used or replicated by others at scales from project to enterprise
    • Preserve, expose, and improve access to Earth and biological science data, models, and other outputs
    • Develop, organize, and share knowledge and best practices in data integration

Eligibility:

Any USGS Mission Area, Program, Center, Office or duty station and their partner(s) are encouraged to apply. However, all proposals must have a USGS employee as a principal investigator.
