You must be logged into the application and have a role as a reviewer.
You must also have created a myUSGS account!
Click on the “Start Individual Reviews” button to move your RFP to the review stage
Finding Items I need to Review
Click on “Review Submission List”
You can now see the items you need to review. You can select one item to review
You can also filter your list of items by Selecting an RFP (current) from the “RFP” drop down list
Reviewing an Item
Once you have found the proposal you want to review (see above) you will be on the screen shown below; to start your review click on “edit”
Pro-Tip: To see the materials associated with the proposal click on either the “Proposal” link in the menu bar or on the name of the proposal. Make sure you open this information in a new tab.
You will now see all of the criteria and you can rate the proposal as noted on each criterion - example is below. Click “update” to save your review.
You can return to the proposal and make changes as long as the individual review period remains open by clicking on “Edit”
Conflict of Interest
If at anytime during the review process you feel as though you cannot review an item due to a conflict of interest, simple mark the “Invalid/CDI” checkbox and “Update” the item. You do not need to delete any elements that are already filled in as the system will disregard them for you.
Checking to Make Sure You Have Completed Your Reviews
Once you have finished your reviews you can take a look at them on the “Review Submission List” page by clicking here
Filter to the RFP you are currently reviewing by selecting the name of the RFP and clicking on Search
You can see the scores you have given items and what items still need reviews
Creating your myUSGS Account
To get started you’ll need to make a myUSGS account.
And click on “Sign Up”
Fill out your University email address (not a personal address) and click the “I am not a robot” checkbox then Submit.
You’ll then need to check your inbox for an email from myUSGS and follow the steps (below). Including providing a sponsor for the account, check with the NCGMP team for what email address to use.
Your sponsor will then get an email and need to verify your account. After which you’ll get an email asking you to finalize your account, create a password etc.
