Confluence Retirement

In an effort to consolidate USGS hosted Wikis, myUSGS’ Confluence service is scheduled for retirement on January 27th, 2023. The official USGS Wiki and collaboration space is now SharePoint. Please migrate existing spaces and content to the SharePoint platform and remove it from Confluence at your earliest convenience.   • Find the funding opportunity that you plan to apply for in the Open Funding Opportunities list and click on it

  • This takes you to the Funding Opportunity page

  • Read the details of the Funding Opportunity and if you want to register for it, click the blue Registration button

  • Complete the Registration form and select Submit.  
    • Note:  All of the details do not need to be completed at the time of registration.  If the funding opportunity window is still open, you can always go in and update or complete the information.  
    • For DOI users, contact Information may auto-populate with your information
  • Your registration is not complete until you receive an email to confirm your registration by clicking on the link contained in the email.

  • Be sure to click on Complete/Edit Registration (a small gray button in the bottom left of the Contact Information box) to make changes to your contact information and to complete additional information that is required with your registration. Always complete this step as there may be a series of questions that are part of your registration! 

  • To cancel your registration, click on Cancel This Registration (bottom right of the Contact Information box). This step cannot be undone.

  • Once finished with the submission process, simply close this page or use the Exit button

 Submitting an SOI, Proposal or Budget

To submit an SOI, Proposal or Budget follow the directions on the right in the Submissions box

  • SOI - if you are applying to an event that calls for SOIs, you must complete this step
  • Proposals must be in the form of a PDF
  • Budgets can be in the form of a PDF, Excel spreadsheet, DOCX, XLSX or DOC

Note: Your application will reach the Proposal Submitted stage once all the required input is provided.
