Confluence Retirement

Due to the feedback from stakeholders and our commitment to not adversely impact USGS science activities that Confluence supports, we are extending the migration deadline to January 2023.

In an effort to consolidate USGS hosted Wikis, myUSGS’ Confluence service is targeted for retirement. The official USGS Wiki and collaboration space is now SharePoint. Please migrate existing spaces and content to the SharePoint platform and remove it from Confluence at your earliest convenience. If you need any additional information or have any concerns about this change, please contact Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Cloud Hosting Solutions (CHS) provides a Cloud-based enterprise environment that supports hosted applications and a collection of managed services to advance the mission of the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). By leveraging cloud technologies, CHS is enabling the USGS to operate as a 21st century organization. CHS is developing an “ecosystem” of cloud-based services and tools, where data transfer, model development, analysis, storage, visualization, etc. can be accessed in the same environment.  Numerous USGS mission areas and programs are utilizing CHS services. CHS is operated and maintained by Enterprise Information staff in cooperation and governance with the Department.
