You are invited to attend

ShakeCast Workshop

Nov 15, 2013     1:00 pm – 3:00pm

Caltech, Salvatori Auditorium

You are invited to attend the second Southern California ShakeCast Workshop, on Friday, November 15 th , 2013, at Caltech.  As you will see on the attached Agenda, the afternoon will follow that morning’s ERA Meeting.

USGS ShakeCast is a post-earthquake application that automatically retrieves earthquake shaking data from ShakeMap, compares intensity measures against your facilities, and within minutes, generates a potential damage assessment notification, facility damage maps, and other Web-based products for emergency manager and response.  With ShakeCast you can automatically determine the shaking value of your facilities, set thresholds for notification of damage for each facility and automatically notify the responsible party at the damaged facility so they can set priorities for response.

ShakeCast is freely available and it’s now much simpler to implement: Come find out how!

Feel free to just attend the ERA meeting, the afternoon ShakeCast Workshop, both, and stay after the meeting for the afternoon for additional Q/A. Bring along issues to troubleshoot, and specific questions for the ShakeCast team.

Space is limited – Please RSVP by email to , or through the web site at .  If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact Margaret Vinci, Mgr. Office of Earthquake Programs, Caltech at 626-395-3298.
