USGS Current Water Data for the Nation

Overview

Water and streamflow data for the nation is collected and recorded within hours of being collected. Tools are in place to create time-series and current conditions tables. There are data options for the groundwater table, streamflow, lake and reservoir table, water quality, and several other pieces of water-related data sets.

Format and Retrieval

There are automated tables as well as an option to build a custom table for current water conditions.

Update Frequency

While the data is updated every few hours, real-time data is provisional and subject to revision. Data points range in frequency from 15 minute intervals to 60 minute intervals.
