Short Description

This paper discusses the role of the science of science communication in communicating climate change. The study tests the assumption that it is the public's lack of understanding of climate change and lack of scientific thinking that causes controversy over climate change. However, the findings show that people tend to make decisions about climate change based on their ties to or attachement to social groups rather than based on their scientific literacy.
