This study sought to determine priority research questions according to policy makers, government scientists, and academic scientists. Conclusions show that the research question ranked as having the greatest potential to improve policies around natural resource management in the U.S. was a question on the water supply neccessary to sustain human population and ecosystem resilience. In addition, findings show that priority research questions did not differ based on whether a person was an academic versus government employee or a scientist versus policymaker.
