Tools of Change: Proven methods for promoting health, safety and environmental citizenship
This website, based on the work of Douglas McKenzie-Mohr, provides tools and resources for creating and implementing a community based social marketing (CBSM) plan. Based in psychology, CBSM has created and tested various tools for encouraging behavior change, including change that has a positive impact on the environment. The website includes a planning tool that guides the user through the identification of the problem, desired action, measurable objectives, identification of partners, gathering information, targeting the audience, selecting the tools of change, and measuring achievements. Tools for encouraging behavior change are included, and linked to additional CBSM resources. Case studies provide examples of application of tools of change, program implementation and outcomes.
