This article focuses on the positive health benefits that urban wetlands can provide given that they are healthy and maintained. The study site is in Perth, Western Australia, where the author researched the community benefits of the Swan and Canning Rivers, such as physical and psychological health, community connection and sense of place, and community involvement in urban conservation.
